Built around where the sun goes down: a wide platform, bench seating, and a lift set back so it never blocks the view.
The brief here was the view, not the boat. We set the lift back along the shoreline and gave the end of the pier over to seating, so the last hour of light belongs to whoever is sitting there.
Solar posts light the walk back without a cable in the water.
